This is how I roll.....

Thank you to my awesome husband. We started the "Dave Ramsey" plan after we got married. At which point we sold my car which was only like 9 months old, and bought our faithful Izuzu Rodeo. It has been a great car and served its purpose well as we worked our way out of debt and gained many miles while I traveled with work. However, we are now ready to treat ourselves to a newer car...not brand new, we will never make that mistake again because they loose so much $ as soon as you drive off the lot. So for now we have continued with the dave ramsey idea of paying cash and buying used.

Brinkley helped us clean up our Rodeo in preparation for trying to sell it. ANYONE INTERESTED???

and now....this is how I roll! We are the proud owners of a Lincoln Navigator and it is AWESOME!!

Happy Birthday Megan!!!

Megan, my beautiful sweet neice had har 3rd birthday party today. Officially she'll be three on the 24th. I must say we had so much fun. Brinkley loved Megan's new trampoline. The weather ended up being perfect and they played inside and out. Thank you Chris and Tanya for the fun and yummy food.

Our Weekend in Mobile

I apologize Adri for not posting sooner. I just haven't felt like spending a ton of time on the computer. Anyway, Jason, Brinkley, and I went to Mobile to see Jason D., Adri, Avery, and soon to arrive Baby Wyatt. Unfortunately, I pulled out my camera only for a few minutes so I only have pictures of the girls (Brinkley and Avery). They had fun meeting again after about a year apart. Hopefully we will get together more often in the future.

I heard Brinkley giggling from her room. So i peaked in and she is picking up her pacifier(which she only gets in her crib...then i realize someone gave it to her...so i moved closer to find..
none other than of course Elias, with her other paci in his mouth!!! These two are destined for trouble. Later they disappeared and we found them in the guest room and Brinkley was pushing Elias as he climbed on the guest bed to jump.

Playing my Megan

After church a few sundays ago megan came over. The girls were playing so hard and Brinkley kept falling over her dress, I just stripped her down and Megan thoughtshe just needed to be in her pull up too...Her words"I want to be nudy too" SHe is such a mess.


Poor Brinkley...the infamouse choke hold when Megan tries to hug her. We are trying to teach Megan to hug with her arms around Brinkley's waist. Check out all the static

These girls really love each other. Brinkley sees Megan's house and starts calling her, which wouldn't be a big deal except they live two houses down across the street so Brinkley wants to go to Megan's alot and I have to try to explain Megan goes to school during the day.

We went to the park last week or a couple of weeks ago...who can remember, time is flying by. Anyway, I took some pictures of Brinkley and i am so sad that my little girl is looking so grown up. SHe is now officially a year and a half (18 months)but still a year and a half even sounds big.

Last week a few friends came to play (Skye, Sage, and Megan) All the girls were in Brinkleys room so when we went to check on them they were having the best time. Throwing balls all over the room and laughing and squealing. This is definately one of the moments of parenting that i treasure. Sweet times with friends.

FUN WITH BRINKLEY

Brinkley is getting more and more fun these days. Mommy is fun but OH Daddy keeps her laughing like crazy.Brinkley loves riding on Daddy's shoulders. She could do it for hours, he finally has to tell her last time and she usually keeps saying "Yeah Yeah"


Brinkley loves to dance and usually she makes us dance with her. She was enjoying some time with Mimi and luckily I caught it on camera.

She has started dong this sound with her mouth and we of course think it is adorable. She wouldn't do it at first but daddy got her to do just a seond of it. She definately has a mind of her own.

Happy New Year

Thank you Mimi and Pappy for watching Brinkley for us. Jason and I met up with some friends at the Beau Rivage for New Years Eve. It was fun to get away but we felt it the next day. We didn't make it to bed until after 4 a.m. and then had to get up and head home the next morning so we have been trying to catch up on some sleep since then. And yes Chrissie, I am too old to be staying up all night, i totally feel it. Happy New Year's to us....may this year be better than the last!

Christmas 2008

I am very behind on posting, mostly because I just haven't taken the time. I have really just been enjoying the holidays with my hubby and my sweet baby girl. Jason took off this week so we have had a long vacation and I am already not looking forward to monday when he returns to work.

We had a great Christmas that lasted almost a week.

Tuesday before Christmas we headed to Mimi and Pappy's for a small get together with Jason's parents and sister. It was actually a good start because Brinkley was a little overwhelmed and decided she just liked to take presents to everyone.



Christmas Eve we went to Aunt Carlene's for the whole Breland Family Christmas. Brinkley had so much funrunning everywhere and actually seemed to enjoy opening the presents but was distracted very easily.



We were at our house for Christmas and we loved it. She walked out and just looked not sure what to do. We started opening all the gifts and she just tore her presents so gently with just her thumb and pointer finger. It was a great morning. After we opened gifts she was ready to go back to bed (I guess she woke up too early). I have to say we felt very relaxed this year, not rushed or hurried or stressed. It was great!! Mimi and Pappy got me this trunk I had been wanting so I could hide Brinkley's toys in the living room and Brinkley thinks it's her little house. She climbs in and plays with all her goodies.



We left Christmas Day around lunch time and headed to Nana and Papa's for Christmas with my family. I must say I am so thankful that Megan and Brinkley are so close in age. They have so much fun together. Megan of course loved opening everyone's gifts and then preferred to play with all Brinkley's toys. Brinkley wanted to play with what she had just opened rather than open more, but we finally got them all opened. They are precious and luckily Brinkley hasn't reached that stage of not sharing so she didn't care if Megan wanted her toys. My parents have a few acres so we enjoyed letting the girls play outside and ride on Megan's new john deer"gator" and Papa's lawnmower(no blades on of course).

While at Nana and Papa's house I got to spend some good time with my highschool best friends (Beth and Kristie P.) Beth now lives in Kentucky so I miss getting to see her so whenever we get the chance to catch up we love it. Kristie and her husband and sweet baby boy Toler live in Rome Georgia so we also try to plan get togethers whenever we are all in town! Thanks girls I loved it and a special thanks to Beth for keeping me laughing constantly, you are by far the funniest person I know!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

We wish you all a very Merry CHRISTmas! I hope you all enjoy lots of time with family and friends and most of all that you remember the real reason for the season. The birth of God's son, Jesus Christ.

Oreos, cereal, laundry bag, Ag museum, & snowman

I have a little sweet tooth. Although some of you think because my husband is a dietitian by schooling, we never eat bad....well you are wrong. I love sweets so we try to eat in moderation. I have passed on my sweet tooth to Brinkley. We were having snack and I gave her crackers and I was having oreos, well as many of you mommy's know we have to share whatever we have. So I let Brinkley have a bite after it was dipped in milk to make it soft.
I created a monster. We/SHE loves some oreo's!!!!

She has also picked up more of our habits.

Digging in:) Yes cheerios ended up all over the floor along with the milk but she enjoyed it so I didn't care.

I was doing laundry/or maybe Jason was, but anywho.. Brinkley loves Jason's laundry bag and of course why wouldn't she...

Daddy makes it so much fun! Everytime he would put her down she would say "yeah, yeah" which means she wants to do whatever it is. Like is I say "Do you want milk?" She says"Milk, yeah yeah". Jason started making her say yeah yeah whenever he would do something fun so now she just lets us know up front:)

We went a couple of weekends ago to the Ag museum to see the lights and ride the carosel and the train.

Brinkley likes to go outside and see our big snowman. Jason bundles her up and lets her give the snowman a high five and then the snowman will pat her head.
