Lots to catch up on...

Mimi and Pappy came over today for lunch and enjoyed some quality time with Brinkley. Brinkley wants to eat whenever she sees food or anyone else eating, I mean she gets so excited and then we have to take her out of the room since she can't eat adult food yet. We may have to start cereal or something at lunch time on days like this.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...
What a way to wake up. Saturday was my morning to sleep in. Well, I get up and nurse Brinkley then Jason takes it from there and I get to go back to sleep. We rotate Saturdays. When I got up and walked in the living room they were watching it snow. I became 5 years old all over again. I was so excited. I made him go outside for only a second, since of all times I didn't put a hat on Brinkley and I was wearing a tank top. We did manage to get a snowflake on her head. Yeah! Her first snow.

We went back outside after we put on her warm and cozy suit, besides how much will she really wear this in Mississippi?

More pictures from bathtime. I absolutely love this naked baby.

You've gotta have a few naked baby pictures.

We introduced the sippie cup for fun. She is not crazy about it. Maybe because it's just water and not yummy milk. She will open her mouth wide like she wants it but once I put it in her mouth she sticks out her tongue and makes funy faces.

On Friday we started carrots, which she loves. She actually makes faces as if she doesn't like oatmeal anymore and only wants the carrots. I have started feeding the oatmeal or rice cereal first and then carrots next instead of going back and forth.

I'm stuffed...

Fun with daddy. Her face lights up when she sees her daddy, regardless of how long I have tried to make her smile or laugh she'll see him and start grinning.

Fun in daddy's shirt drawer. It's funny that we think it is cute and funny now but give 6 more months and we'll be trying to keep her out of all drawers:)

Last weekend Brinkley and I headed to Nana & Papa's since. Jason went on a jeep ride so we thought we would go on a trip too. I was a little nervous about how Brinkley would do in a new environment because she is so used to her night routine and does so good at night. SHe put all my worries to rest and did great in the pack and play. She put herself to sleep just like always! We enjoyed spending time with Nana and Papa as usual and enjoyed spending time with some extended family as well.

Brinkley loves faces now. She is always grabbing and trying to eat anything.

Please help

Jason and I (mainly me) want to get a jogging stroller. While I do love my quatro tour mega stroller, it is not so good for jogging. We can't decide whether to get one with a swivel or fixed wheel. If anyone reading this blog has one or knows which are better for jogging/running, I would love to hear your thoughts. Also if anyone knows where to get good deals on jogging strollers I would love that info to...I am a stay at home mom so bargains and garage sales are great!!!

Thanks for the help!

My how she's grown

I am amazed daily by how much Brinkley has changed. I love to watch her explore her world with such intrigue. During bath the other day, it was like she truly noticed the water. She loves to reach and try to touch it when we pour it over her. I love getting the chance to see the world through her eyes. She makes me stop and enjoy the little things in life, like water, sticking my tongue out, smiling, laughing, kissing those little cheeks, playing in the mirror, etc...

Everyone says their child is a genius and here I go. We were playing with the duck in the tub and making quacking noises. Brinkley showed daddy and I that she can quack too. She is so smart!!!

GO DAWGS!!!

Jason & I headed to the Liberty Bowl last Saturday with some friends. It was my first time to leave Brinkley for the day. Of course I cried, but Jason made me feel better. Thank you Nana for keeping Brinkley (and Pappy & Mimi for coming to play with her). I of course called a few times (ok, more than a few) but Nan was very understanding and said Brinkley was a perfect angel. It was nice to have some time out with my Hubby. Luckily the friends we went with had an extra ticket so my best friend Beth who was in Columbus for the holidays joined us for the game. I must say the first 3 quarters were quite boring but the 4th quarter was great!
GO DAWGS!!!!
