Bring back the good ole days...

My Handsome Husband! I love you! Saturday and Sunday, he played in a soccer tournament. Saturday was cold and rainy. Sunday no rain, but boy was it windy... I ended up watching from inside my car (which amazed me that these pictures turned out so well).
Jason grew up playing soccer so it was fun for he and his friends who used to plat together to get back on the field. I forgot how much I liked soccer, my brother grew up playing and many friends played so I know a little. I even used to play back in high school on Sunday afternoons(for fun only) with the guys, and a few other girls who dared. Actually I played intramural soccer in college. It was so much fun and great exercise. I was surprised Jason could move this morning. I mean working out daily is one thing, but playing 5 games of soccer in two days, which hadn't been done since college can take a beating on those bones.

My handsome husband, with his tobogon (spelling?) Something has to keep that head warm, the little hair he has definately does not protect. Good thing I like short, very short, shaven heads:)

More babies...

My sweet friend and college roomate, Christina, had her baby shower yesterday, she got lots of goodies. She is due March 22 and being the brave soul she is, she and her husband Brian are waiting to be surprised whether it is a boy or girl and then in April they are moving to Arkansas (Having a baby isn't enough, they go and add moving to the mix).
Only 8 weeks left and Baby Chisholm will be here, YEAH!!

Isn't she just adorable. All I can say is Go Lisa! She is such a pro, you sure can't tell she just
had a baby yesterday...I have something to aspire to. She looks like she's been a mother forever.

Friends

Well yesterday I was doing some work from home. I am trying to make some little sensory rooms for a few kids I see that have both hearing and vision impairments. They are actually quite neat, so I can't wait to see how the kids react. Anyway, while I was out getting my supplies, I had a lunch break with my friend Chrissie and her precious little boy, Elias. He is such a mess and into everything. Lunch was quite interesting, especially when Chrissie turned Elias to play in his car seat, to avoid spilling her soup. I don't mean she turned the car seat around, no he was standing (with help from Chrissie), leaning over into his carseat trying to play with anything he could find. It doesn't seem as funny now (I wish I had my camera) but he was practically laying face first into the seat and his feet were off the booth. We got so tickled watching him. Anyway, I thank God for days like yesterday when I get a chance to fellowship with friends.
After lunch we received the call that one of our small group members, Lisa, had her baby girl. Addison was born at 12:22 and weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz and 18 in. long. I'll post pictures when I get a chance to take them. Congradulations to their new addition!

10 Weeks and Counting...

I have had requests for some belly pictures so here you go (Sorry Mary, I know you hate them). Here is my very white belly.
This is a picture from today. 10 weeks 2 days, right after I filled my belly with supper:)

We made our first ROUTINE visit to the doctor today and yeah... everything went great. We didn't have an ultrasound but we got to hear the heartbeat through this dopplar thingy, Jason smiled the entire time we heard it beating. "Peanut" has a heart beat of 170 bpm. The Doc. said that was good. We get to find out boy or girl at the end of March. I can't wait. Initially we both thought girl right away, but now I am starting to think Little Boy, Jason stands firm that it is a girl:) Luckily we do not care boy or girl as long as he/she is healthy. So far no morning sickness and for that matter I don't even feel pregnant aside from the wanting to eat every two or so hours. I am a hungry girl! The frustrating part is that I can be starving, ready to eat my own hand and when I finally get food after five bites, I am FULL/stuffed. It is quite frustrating so I put my food away and 2 maybe 3 hours I am ready to eat again. Oh and not to mention the going to the bathroom and million times a night....I mean really does "peanut" have to lay on my blatter everynight:) So I guess I do feel pregnant, I just don't look it. I am very lucky and blessed and we continue to pray that I remain un-hormonal, not sick, and happy for the rest of the pregnancy. Jason especially likes it because I am actually enjoying cooking supper for a change.
I did go to Target today to get a baby gift for my sweet friend Christina and I LOVE all the baby stuff. I finally had to make myself leave so I would stop buying little things. I can't wait to find out what we are having!!!

Another Check-up

Well, I went back to the doctor today for another check-up from our scare in December. While there my doctor had me get another sonogram, not that I complained:)I am amazed at how much our little bundle of joy has grown. He/she had a heartbeat of 162 bpm. I can actually tell that it is beginning to look like a baby and not just a fuzzy spot:0

Baby Breland

Here is a picture of Baby Breland (our little tiny peanut) from our appointment on Tuesday. Note this was not a scheduled sonogram, but we got the benefit of hearing the heartbeat early on. Any guesses as to boy or girl?

Everything is fine!

Update: Jason and I found out that we are PREGNANT!!!! We found out mid-December and waited to tell our families on Christmas and then we started telling friends, unfortunately due to the holidays spreading our news is going kind of slow. We were scheduled to leave for Jamaica for a week of fun in the sun on January 1st; however Saturday night I had a trip to the ER with some major bleeding...after an ultrasound we were relieved that Baby Breland is doing fine. The Doctor decided I did not need to fly and I was put on bedrest for Sunday and Monday and told to go and see my doctor first thing Tuesday. So our trip to Jamaica was canceled, disappointing...but we both agree it's about keeping the baby safe now.
We went to the doctor today and are happy to report everything is fine the baby is measuring 6 weeks and 3 days (but they will kep my due date the same (August 19) and they say I am 7 weeks and 3 days. Baby Breland had a good strong heartbeat 120bpm, we are told that will continue to come up as he/she grows. I am off of bedrest and hopefully everything will go smoothly from here on out.

This is Jason parents finding out. They were very excited. Lots of smiles and tears!

This is mom and dad opening their gift. Shock and smiles & if you know my mom...lots of tears. They are so excited.

We were so glad we waited until Christmas because Chris & Tanya were home and they got to be there for our good news.
