Baylor Kennedy has arrived...Now we are a family of 4!!

Brinkley is excitedly awaiting the arrival of her little baby sister.
Baylor Kennedy arrived on November 19, 2009 at 10:25 a.m. She weighed 7lbs. 3 oz. and was 19 1/4 in. long. I was scheduled to be induced at 5:30 a.m.; however Baylor had plans of her own. I started having contractions a little after midnight. We headed on to the hospital around 2 and about 6:30 I was 7 cm dialated. I got an epidural about 8 cm. My doctor wanted to deliver and was going to be occupied so she waited to break my water until 10:00. I started pushing at 10:15 and sweet Baylor was here by 10:25. Everything went so smoothly. I am so glad my doctor let me attempt a VBAC. After all was said and done, she was excited and said it couldn't have gone smoother. Ultimately I give God the glory for answering my prayers and giving me the desires of my heart.
and then there was four....

Baylor Kennedy will be here very soon.

Who knows when I will post again...I am not sure how I will adjust to having two kiddos. But for now we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of little Baylor Kennedy. I will be induced on Thursday bright and early. We are praying that everything goes smoothly with both the delivery and Brinkley's transition to Big Sister. We have been talking about it a lot with Brinkley and she seems excited and ready but only time will tell.
Pictures will be updated as soon as we can. We can't wait to meet her. The count down is on.

Ok Nana, here are some maternity pictures and I will post pumpkin patch pictures soon, I promise

Pappy came over and we attempted a family photo shoot. Brinkley is definately a typical 2 year old....meaning she will only do what she wants and absolutely no more:) Needless to say we only captured a few good family shots.

who can't love this child...we just laugh at her

Look, daddy can kiss mommy's belly
Brinkley's turn...close enough

35 weeks and counting
Finally, she cooperates

Thought I better update

I really hate it but I have been horrible at documenting this pregnancy. With Brinkley, I stayed on top of everything, but this time has gone by so much faster. Brinkley was born 7 1/2 weeks from this point and I can't imagine Baylor being here so soon. While excited I am a little nervous about adjusting to having 2 babies, but I know it will come and we will keep on rolling.
My check ups have been great and Baylor is moving ALL the time. I think she is going to be a boxer or disco dancer. After my appt. this week I will begin going every 2 wks. It's crazy how time flies but so far so good.
As for Brinkley we went to her 2 year well baby check up a few weeks ago and her stats were
weight 23.6 lbs
height 32.5 in.
She is my little petite baby. She is growing but holding steady in the 25% on the growth chart. She is not a picky eater but rather a finicky(sp?) eater. She eats what she wants, when she wants sometimes it is just a little and sometimes it is a lot. Dr. Jo says that is completely normal with a 2 yr. old. We started potty training and she has done a fantastic job. Of course she has accidents on occasion, mainly at MMO or church nursery. She still wears diapers or pull ups at nap time and night time but will still tell us when she needs to go if she is awake and has her diaper on. She is talking ALL the time. LOVES LOVES LOVES ELMO! She can spot Elmo from anywhere, even when out and about in a store. She is constantly saying the funniest things. Including her now favorite words her daddy taught her. "I'm miss independent". Aside from always wanting to sit in mommy's lap, she wants to do everything else "by myself". She has reached such a fun age and keeps us moving all the time.

A little bit of Brinkley....

Brinkley is almost as in love with the big yellow jeep as her daddy. She is getting to big.
Helping daddy work on the jeep...or rather just playing around while he attempts to work on it
Brinkley has become obsessed with stickers, except she really only likes to put them on her tummy and Baylor:)

Daddy & MMO

Brinkley loves her daddy and he makes everything fun.
Mowing with daddy
Dressing up in daddy's clothes
Fun outside in this beautiful weather with Mimi and Pappy
She has her Pappy's heart
First Day of Mother's Morning Out.. with sweet Elias who is showing her how the big kids do it.
Jason got to come with us to see Brinkley off for her first day, also there for moral support for mommy. After this picture Brinkley started to cry, she realized mommy was leaving. Mommy quickly started to cry while daddy reassured me she would be fine. I called the school a little later and they said Brinkley was fine and playing. When I picked her up she was totally fine and wanted to play at 'cool" again. Also she made it the whole time in big girl panties with no accidents. Yea for my baby...my "big" girl.Brinkley with her big girl school bag
At home before we left for school. Big Cheese.

Baylor, where are you?

Brinkley loves Baylor already. She likes to hug my belly and kiss it and pat it, the whole time saying i love Baylor...i kiss baylor...etc. Well, she has started trying to close my belly button and follows by saying "Baylor, where are you?" Jason and I think it's hilarious. Brinkley keeps us laughing all the time.
Anyway, here is the belly at 24 weeks. Growing fast. I can't believe Baylor will be here in just a few months. She is moving all the time, a lot more than Brinkley did. I am loving re-decorating both the girls rooms.

Another Late post..moving to a big girl bed

With Baylor Kennedy on the way we decided to move Brinkley into a big girl bed and give Baylor the crib. To begin the transition we dropped the side of her crib and put up a rail. I must say she has done fabulous and loves playing in her bed all the time. We read books after nap in her bed, which makes me really excited about getting her a big bed so I can fit better. Anyway, her new bed has been ordered so we are anxiously waiting so we can re-decorate both the girls rooms. Oh and yes she still has her passy only for nap time. She really doesn't need it but we didn't want too much change all at once. She makes us laugh so hard. We put her down for nap and as i was closing her curtains she yelled "I need passy please". To which I cracked up and made her tell her Daddy. She loves to put it in her mouth and run to us saying passy, passy b/c she knows ifit during the day we put them up. It is all a game to her so hopefully soon I'll take it away for good. After church so she has stripped to her bloomers for the day:)
